The international Gender Summit 12 seminar will be held on Wednesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), located at Avenida Dag Hammarskjöld 3477 (Vitacura), in Santiago de Chile.

The building is in front of the Bicentennial Park

This building, which is located right across from the Bicentennial Park, was built in 1966 under the orders of the architect Emilio Duhart, who developed his work inspired by the architectural style of the Swiss master Le Corbusier, who has 17 projects considered UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The building houses ECLAC, one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations, which was established in 1948 to contribute to the economic development of Latin America, to coordinate actions aimed at its promotion, and to strengthen economic relations between these countries and with other nations around the world. The goal of promoting social development was also incorporated subsequently.
