Dr. Ana Puy, PhD in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid, is the Director of the Women and Science Unit (UMyC) at the Cabinet of the State Secretariat for Research, Development and Innovation within the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, Spain, since 2014. She is also Associate Professor of Social Psychology at the University of La Laguna (ULL), where she is member of the University Institute on Women Studies. At ULL she was the first Director of the Gender Equality Unit (2010-2014). She is the Spanish delegate at the ERAC Standing Working Group on Gender in Research and Innovation (former Helsinki Group). She is member of the European Platform of Women Scientists (EPWS) and the Spanish Association of Women Scientists and Technologists (AMIT).
She has been active partner of the GENDER-NET ERA-Net 2013-2016 (Promoting gender equality in research institutions and the integration of the gender dimension in research contents), co-leading the Work Package on gender in research contents. She is currently partner of a new H2020 coordination and support action on gender and science policy, GENDERACTION 2017-2021 (GENDer equality in the ERA Community To Innovate policy implementatiON), leading the Work Package on strategic policy advice, and also partner of the new ERA-Net Cofund GENDER NET PLUS 2017-2022 (Promoting Gender Equality in H2020 and the ERA), where she is going to lead the monitoring of co-funded projects.
