Entrepreneur, writer and speaker, works in the intersection of science and social impact through biotechnology. Founder of Kaitek Labs, one of Chile’s most renowned biotech startups, which aims to develop a HAB detection kit through synthetic biology, to save the 100,000 lives lost to HAB poisoning every year in the world. Emilia has represented Kaitek in various entrepreneurship programs in Latin America, Silicon Valley, Europe and Asia. She has been recognized as a leader both in her country and internationally in biotechnology, innovation and technology by Singularity University, Global Biotech Revolution and the newspaper El Mercurio, among others. Emilia is also founder and director of Allbiotech, the first Latin American Biotech network.
