Educational researcher currently associated with INDICASAT and Santa María la Antigua University. Member of the National Research System of Panama. She served as Service-Learning Director and instructor at the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University. She directed programs of international education, intercultural and social participation and taught courses at Western Kentucky University, where she obtained a postgraduate degree in gender studies, a master’s degree in the department of folklore and anthropology, and a doctorate in education. In Panama, she presides Praxis Educational Consultants to support and improve education. She has been a consultant for the Foundation for the Promotion of Educational Excellence, University of South Florida, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and the National Secretariat of Science and Technology of Panama, where she is currently a member of the team. Her achievements have been recognized through scholarships at the Smithsonian Latino Center and Imagining America, local and international research grants and awards for excellence in teaching, research and public work. This is reflected in the Success Women Award of the Human Rights Commission of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and the Esther Fund scholarship, for having shown commitment to improve the lives of women.
